Accessible Evaluations

Because Every Black Girl Deserves Clarity and Care

At Psychology for Black Girls, we believe that access to psychological and neuropsychological evaluations should never depend on privilege, money, or connections. Far too often, Black girls and women are misdiagnosed, overlooked, or denied testing that could open the door to life-changing support. We are committed to breaking down these barriers.

What Are Psychological & Neuropsychological Evaluations?

  • Psychological Evaluations help identify conditions like anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, and other mental health concerns.
  • Neuropsychological Evaluations assess learning, memory, attention, and executive functioning — often used for ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), learning disabilities, and brain-based differences.

These tools don’t define you — they empower you. They provide clarity, validation, and a roadmap for the right care, interventions, and accommodations.

Why Access Matters

  • Black girls are often labeled instead of understood.
  • Many families don’t pursue evaluations because of cost, stigma, or lack of representation in the field.
  • Schools and systems frequently overlook neurodivergence in Black girls, delaying support.

By making evaluations more affordable, accessible, and culturally responsive, we ensure that Black girls and women receive the recognition and resources they deserve.

  •

Our Commitment

  • Partnering with licensed psychologists to provide reduced-cost evaluations.
  • Offering both in-person and telehealth-based assessments where possible.
  • Creating community-based access funds so that no girl is turned away.
  • Ensuring every evaluation is conducted through a culturally affirming lens.
